Students <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • are introduced to the MPACT design\/making model and design a bookmark to be 3D printed.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • learn about linear measurement. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • identify and correct errors in their Tinkercad designs (CT). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Project 2. Make a Kite  <\/strong> \"Illustration<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Students will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • use the design\/making model to make an origami kite that really flies.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • learn about angles and symmetry. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • break complex problems down into simpler ones (CT). <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • imagine how holes appear after they fold a paper, cut holes, and unfold the paper (spatial reasoning). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Project 3. Make a Stamp <\/strong> \"Illustration<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      Students will: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • use the design\/making model to make a 3D printed stamp with a symmetrical design. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • go deeper into symmetry. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • give directions to others on how to create a design in Tinkercad (CT). <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • make a shape, resize it, and rotate it on a screen, imagining how it will look at each stage (spatial reasoning). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
