Author's NoteHere is the fire [that] I am talking about in mid-winter.听I think on this day I needed some healing; so, I lit a fire after dark in the woods by myself.听I grew up around fire.听My first memories in [town] are the cold, the crunching of snow, the fires on my dad鈥檚 property out in the country, and the blood from cut deer/moose/elk meat.听I find this connection to who I am to give me power when I struggle in STEM.
