A new article, 鈥淯sing Existing Data to Investigate Ecosystem Change,鈥 by AV巴士 researchers Andee Rubin and Gillian Puttick and collaborators was published in聽The Science Teacher. The article describes how ninth-grade students used data to investigate the rise of wildebeest and buffalo populations in Serengeti between 1960 and 1975. Students engaged in data practices, including interpreting scatterplots and evaluating evidence. Also includes strategies for teachers integrating data analysis into scientific sensemaking.
